The Judge's Eye Clinic: Megan Taylor

Enjoy the opportunity to learn from the judge about what they are expecting to see in the show arena. Paired with prior day competition, hone in your skills and fine tune your riding through the lense of the judge's eye.

Four sections of group instruction will be offered: beginner flat, over fences crossrails, over fences 2’, and over fences 2’6” and higher. Sections are approximately 75 minutes and are $125/rider (exception: beginner flat 60 minutes $100). Stalls are available ; preference given to horses staying from the Hunt Series competition on Saturday.

About the Judge: With thirty-three years of experience teaching, riding and training in the hunter-jumper equine industry, Megan has developed a training program for horses and riders that simplifies the approach to how we work with and ride horses, while allowing horses to be their best and riders to achieve their goals. 

Megan, a USHJA Certified Trainer, lives in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina where she trains locally out of Lawton Stables.  As a USEF ‘r’ judge in Hunter and Hunter/Jumping Seat Equitation, she judges local, USEF Regional, Interscholastic Equestrian Association, Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association and National Collegiate Equestrian Association competitions throughout the year.
